Uniform

At The Hawthorns we strongly encourage pupils to wear a school uniform, as it plays a key role in:

Promoting the ethos of our school – fostering shared values, respect and pride in being part of our school community.
Providing a sense of identity and belonging – helping children feel included and connected.
Setting an appropriate tone for learning – supporting a focused, respectful, and disciplined environment.

Our school’s uniform:

White polo shirt (school logo optional)
Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (school logo)
Plain smart skirt or pinafore in dark grey
Plain smart trousers or tailored shorts in dark grey
Optional cotton gingham dress, light blue check (optional summer uniform)
Socks should be plain white, grey or black in colour.
Tights should be grey in colour.
Shoes should be black with a good grip, give the feet good support and fasten securely. Boots, trainers, open-toed sandals/sliders or crocs are not allowed to be worn in school.
