Safeguarding
The Hawthorns Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We have policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Safeguarding Policy which can be viewed below.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there may be concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.
We actively support the Government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism.
Should you have any concerns regarding the welfare or safety of a pupil, please speak to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or one of the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads:
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Ms Raha Razeghi (Headteacher).
Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are:-
-
Mrs Nicola Wallace (Deputy Headteacher)
-
Mrs Lucy Hall (Year 4,5 and 6 Phase Leader)
-
Miss Rebecca Reading (Year 1,2 and 3 Phase Leader)
-
Mrs Jane Milne (EYFS Phase Leader)
The Local Advisor with responsibility for safeguarding our school is Mrs J Shepherd.
